UnescoRRP Article 5 1. Culture, as a product of all human beings and a
common heritage of mankind, and education in its broadest sense, offer men and
women increasingly effective means of adaptation, enabling them not only to
affirm that they are born equal in dignity and rights, but also to recognize
that they should respect the right of all groups to their own cultural identity
and the development of their distinctive cultural life within the national and
international contexts, it being understood that it rests with each group to
decide in complete freedom on the maintenance, and, if appropriate, the
adaptation or enrichment of the values which it regards as essential to its
identity.

cultural cooperation
UnescoICC Article 3: international cultural co-operation shall cover
all aspects of intellectual and creative activities relating to education,
science and culture. Article 4: The aims of international cultural co-operation
in its various forms, bilateral or multilateral, regional or universal, shall
be: 1. To spread knowledge, to stimulate talent and to enrich cultures; 2. To
develop peaceful relations and friendship among the peoples and bring about a
better understanding of each other’s way of life; 3. To contribute to the
application of the principles set out in the United Nations Declarations... ;
4. To enable everyone to have access to knowledge, to enjoy the arts and literature
of all peoples, to share in advances made in science in all parts of the world
and in the resulting benefits, and to contribute to the enrichment of cultural
life; 5. To raise the level of the spiritual and material life of man in all
parts of the world. Article 5: Cultural co-operation is a right and a duty for
all peoples and all nations, which should share with one another their
knowledge and skills. Article 6: International co-operation, while promoting
the enrichment of all cultures through its beneficent action, shall respect the
distinctive character of each.

Solidarity. Global
challenges must be managed in a way that distributes the costs and burdens
fairly in accordance with basic principles of equity and social justice. Those
who suffer, or who benefit least, deserve help from those who benefit most.
